Back in July, I published an article, “What’s in your nightstand?” and got a fantastic response from our community sharing their favorite goodies. Below are some of their suggestions to rest well.
Linen & Room Spray
This Malie Linen & Room Spray was recommended to help set the tone in your bedroom before slumber. Your olfactory receptors are linked directly to the part of your brain that registers emotion, so choose a scents that relaxes you and ease into sleep.
Biofreeze
Another favorite topical pain reliever. This menthol delight has been around the block, but it still works. One of our friends keep Biofreeze in her nightstand, just in case. It comes in many forms from creams to patches, but the classic roll-on is our favorite for painful joints.
Peppermint Essential Oil Roller
Pepper oil has been known to treat GI issues like IBS and nausea, as well as pain associated with headaches and migraines. Beyond that, the refreshing smell can be stimulating, ideal for waking up in the morning. Peppermint essential oil rollers are easy to keep in a nightstand or throw in your bag.
Circulating Leg & Foot Creme
This is one that we cannot wait to try ourselves. The Apothecanna Circulating Leg & Foot Creme sounds like a dream.

Melatonin Gummies
We got several recommendations for melatonin, and I am hooked on these melatonin gummies for adults. They are tasty and feel like such a treat before I head to bed. The only problem — you can only take two. If you’re like me, maybe keeping these further away than your nightstand isn’t such a bad idea.
Water Bottle
The LARQ Bottle was recommended to use for its lightweight design and ability to keep water cold all night. It isn’t cheap, but it does purify water in just 60 seconds, ideal for the adventuresome wanderer. Want something a bit simpler? Try a Yeti Tumbler, it is heavy, but keeps water super chilly.
Self-Heating Eye Masks
These self-heating eye masks look like a treat for anyone with tired eyes. Rheumatoid Arthritis has been known to impact the eyes in many ways, so this mask is a perfect chance to give them a rest while your body relaxes for the day.
Foam Rollers
Ok, so this won’t actually fit in your nightstand, but many of our community members use these before bed. These foam rollers come in a variety of sizes, small and large.

Sleepytime Tea
The name of this Celestial Seasonings tea is so well-suited— Sleepytime. They have a huge variety of options ranging from Immune Boost to Sinus Soother. Most options are available on Amazon, always a plus.
Kindle
We received so many book recommendations that we couldn’t decide which ones to include, so instead we wanted to talk about our favorite Kindle. The Kindle Paperwhite is lightweight, reads like real paper, and holds more books than your nightstand does.
